The University of Birmingham is investing heavily in life sciences, with the Birmingham Health Innovation Campus set to become a global centre for health tech businesses.
At its heart is the Precision Health Technologies Accelerator (PHTA) - a facility designed to unite a new generation of clinical entrepreneurs and academics. They have a powerful story to tell, but the science behind it can feel complex and impenetrable.
PHTA needed a brand that captured their pioneering ambition in a simple, inspiring way.
We got to work creating a modern, confident identity. Crafting a bold look and building on the PHTA’s core theme of Come Together. Placing connection and convergence squarely at the heart of their brand DNA.
We also developed a full set of brand guidelines, ensuring clarity and consistency across all communications. Then we extended the identity to a new website - pairing vivid, unexpected colours with clear, punchy messaging. Swapping traditional academic language for a relaxed entrepreneurial tone.
By transforming the brand into something dynamic and human, we helped position the PHTA as the natural home for health tech innovators.
