
We transformed corporate reporting into an engaging multimedia campaign, putting people at the heart of NFU Mutual’s ESG story.
NFU Mutual faced a communications challenge: alongside the publication of its annual Responsible Business Report, the company was also launching a new Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy. The task was not only to explain two complex programmes clearly, but to bring them to life in a way that resonated with both internal and external audiences.
We partnered closely with NFU Mutual to reimagine corporate reporting. Instead of treating the report as a static, compliance-driven document, we positioned it as the centrepiece of a wider storytelling campaign. Through a carefully planned communications strategy, we mapped out the channels and moments that would deliver the greatest impact – from internal comms and social content through to a high-profile launch.
At the core of our creative was a simple idea: turn 12 months of data into a single compelling narrative. We placed NFU Mutual’s people at the centre of the story, reframing ESG as a culture of care being nurtured across the organisation. This allowed us to transform complex figures into an emotive, human story of responsibility in action.
The campaign launched with a striking film that captured this ethos, supported by social media activity and a suite of internal communications assets. All activity directed audiences to the refreshed Responsible Business Report, which combined strong storytelling with clear, digestible proof-points.
The result was a Responsible Business campaign that moved beyond compliance, engaging audiences with an inspiring narrative that reinforced NFU Mutual’s values and demonstrated the tangible impact of its ESG strategy.
